Abstract
The article analyzes the conditions of the stress-strain state in which blowout preventers operate. The dependences for the strength calculation of fixing blowout preventers are given. The advantages and disadvanges of various designs of fastening devices and seals of fasteners are identified. Also, the issues of testing, repairing and operating blowout preventers are considered.
