Abstract

The increase in the volume of data exchange and the complexity of network topologies leads to an increase in the requirements for ensuring reliability and guaranteed delivery of information. Known methods of improving reliability, based on redundant devices or the presence of several redundant paths, require more and more computing power. In addition, these methods do not always satisfy the requirements for the uptime of physical telecommunications equipment. The article reviews the existing methods for improving the reliability of information delivery in virtualized networks. Ways to improve the quality of network operation using network functions virtualization mechanisms are proposed for consideration. Keywords network, network virtualization, software-defined networks, reliability
