Abstract
The problem of determining the conditions for achieving identical measurement results by using coordinate measuring machines and various measurement methods provided for by ISO 15530 is formulated and solved. A quadratic criterion to assess the degree of measurement results similarityby using two different methods is proposed. A connection function has been introduced between the difference in the statements obtained by the two methods and the geometric sum of the corresponding uncertainties in the measurement results. It is determined, that when a certain restrictive condition is imposed on the introduced function, the minimum value of the differences sum in the measurement results is achieved in the presence of a quadratic relationship between the specified difference and the geometric sum of the corresponding uncertainties.
