ANALYSIS OF CURRENT STATE OF THE HOTEL INDUSTRY IN THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

Abstract

The purpose of research is analysis of current state of the hotel business in the country and specification of material and technical potential of the industry. In addition, our task was to compare state of Russian hotel business with European region for following indicators: providing the country with a capacity, the average number of people served in collective accommodation facilities, load factor of collective accommodation facilities, the average occupancy of accommodation facilities. The results of the study show need for increasing accommodation facilities of double, updating the existing facilities, marketing policy of the state in attracting tourists. The study showed accommodation facilities of Russian cities witch will take FIFA World Cup in 2018. Later created there infrastructure will improve state of the hotel industry in the Russian Federation. The final result of this research was determination problems witch hinder the development of hotel industry in the Russian Federation: local administrative barriers; unfavorable land lease; unharmonized state policy
