Abstract
This paper presents stability for a class of uncertain discrete-time nonlinear systems and a method for designing robust fuzzy observer and fuzzy controller to stabilize the uncertain nonlinear systems whose states are unobservable. To design fuzzy observer and fuzzy controller, uncertain nonlinear systems are represented by Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy models (1992) with uncertainty. The concept of parallel and distributed compensation is employed to design fuzzy robust observer and fuzzy robust controller from T-S fuzzy models. Stability conditions are derived from quadratic stabilization and linear matrix inequality (LMI).
