Abstract

The improvement of car suspensions and wheels remains one of the most important areas of further development of the automotive industry in order to improve the smoothness and energy efficiency of wheeled and tracked vehicles for various purposes. At the same time, a special role is assigned to bench tests, which significantly reduce the time and resources for the development and fine-tuning of new suspension units and wheels. Well-known stands are classified and analyzed in the article for testing pneumatic tires and suspensions, both realized materially and patented, for the possibility of carrying out loads that occur when a vehicle is moving along road irregularities. The conclusions of the article reflect the need to create a universal single-support stand that allows loading the tested suspension unit and spinning wheel with all known types of static and dynamic loads that occur in real operating conditions.
