Abstract

This study aims to describe the assertive speech acts of teachers in Indonesian language learning. This research design is qualitative research with a descriptive design. The research data used in the form of teacher's speech acts in the form of assertive speech acts in Indonesian language learning at SMPN Neg. 2 Pangkajene. The research data is used in the form of human instruments, namely the researchers themselves, with the tools of data collection guidelines. Data analysis in this study includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion/verification. Based on the results of the study, the findings were obtained in the form and function of assertive speech acts of teachers in Indonesian language learning at SMP Negeri 2 Pangkajene. There are six, namely: function of stating, function of proposing, function of boasting, function of complaining, function of reporting, function of agreeing, and function of protesting.
