Abstract
The federal government is relentlessly pushing the shift away from fossil fuels and toward renewable energy sources. The Mini Hydro Power Plant (PLTM) is an example of a renewable energy source. The kinetic energy of falling water is harnessed using the PLTM process. The greater the height of a waterfall, the more electricity may be generated from the water's potential energy. PLTM Taluda'a is a PLTM in Gotontalo Province that can produce up to a combined 2 x 1200 Kw. It has been running its refinery for the last 13 years. The purpose of this research was to analyze the relationship between the generator's output and two critical factors (penstock and guidevane). The research method was descriptively and quantitatively based on field operation data. The analysis results show that changing the management of the water fluid pressure in the penstock by 1% can reduce the generator powerby 8%. While the influence of generator power as an effect of changing the Guidavane openingis 81.5%, a decrease in generator power is obtained by 5.64%
