Abstract

Kendeng zone has complex geological conditions in the form of very high rock deformation so that there are folding and reverse faults in a west-east direction. The research location is in the Kedungjati area and its surroundings, Kedungjati District, Grobogan Regency, Central Java Province. Astronomically, the research area is located at 07o 07' 30'' - 07o 12' 30'' South Latitude and 110o 32' 30" - 110o 37' 30" East Longitude. This study aimed to determine the kinematics and characteristics of the reverse fault in the Kedungjati area and its surroundings. The method is by mapping the surface geology, including the pre-field stage, field stage, and postfield stage. The reverse fault of the research area Kropoh right reverse slip fault, Tempuran right reverse slip fault, Kedunggandri left reverse slip fault, Prigi left reverse slip fault, Kedungglatik left reverse slip fault, Borangan right thrust slip fault, Kedungklapa left reverse slip fault. The analysis results of the thrust fault in the Kedungjati area have a relative southeast-northwest fault plane direction with a relatively rising dominant sense and a northeast-southwest compression direction. The reverse fault in the Kedungjati area is included in the trailing imbricate fan deformation in the thrust fault system.
