Abstract
Brush park fish shelters in Lagos lagoon were monitored over a 2 year period. The harvest ranged between 0.75 and 4.35 t ha −1 with a mean of 2.28 t ha −1. Linear regression analyses of the yield values showed direct relationships with the duration and density of implantation. The installations produced more fish than did the open water of the lagoon; Tilapia melanotheron constituted about 54% of the catch in the former method and less than 2% in the latter.
