Abstract

Infrared and Raman spectra of two new metal (II) quinoxaline tetracyanonickelate complexes, M(Qx)2Ni(CN)4, (M  Cd or Ni, Qx = quinoxaline) have been investigated. It is proposed that their structure consists of two dimensional polymeric sheets formed from Ni(CN)4 ions bridged by M(Qx)2 cations. We also report the effective magnetic moments of the complexes.
