Abstract

Many scholars believe that enterprises should continue to improve their management capacity, especially in an increasingly volatile environment. Management capability in enterprises includes operational flexibility, structural flexibility and strategic flexibility, only different environments match different types of flexibilities, enterprise performance can be improved. Through the investigation on the large and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises in PRD, we find that operational flexibility is positively related to enterprise performance in a static and medium competitive environment, strategic flexibility is also positively related to performance in a dynamic environment, but the relationship between structural flexibility and enterprise performance is not significant.
