Abstract
A new load flow algorithm is proposed which combines the important features of the Fast Decoupled Load Flow and £-Coupled Load Flow methods. This paper also establishes that the load flow algorithm proposed by Berg, Subramaniam, Mamandur (1978) is the same as the £-coupling method. The large number of system studies presented reveal that the proposed algorithm is superior to similar existing algorithms from the point of view of both memory and speed. Further, a new iteration scheme is suggested, which is more efficient for this class of load flow algorithms.
