Abstract
The study into the personality characteristics of adolescents determined by genetic predispositions has recently become topical. In this work, we have analyzed the correlations of polymorphisms in the genes encoding dopamine (D2) and serotonin (2A) receptors with personality characteristics of 360 adolescents. A combined effect of the genes DRD2/ANKK1 and HTR2A on the rule-consciousness and self-reliance scores has been found in girls. In boys, statistically significant genotypic differences of TaqIA polymorphisms (DRD2/ANKK1 gene) have been observed for perfectionism scores as well as stratification of DRD2/ANKK1 and HTR2A genotypes has demonstrated the differences in social boldness scores.
