Abstract

This research is a qualitative descriptive study that analyzes problem-solving based on personality types. This study aims to determine problem-solving abilities based on the personality types of melancholy, choleric, sanguine, and phlegmatic class VII SMP Dharma Lestari. Data were collected through personality test results, problem-solving ability test results, and interviews. They are analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model analysis. The results of this study indicate that the subjects of the melancholic, choleric, and sanguine personality types are still not good at problem-solving. However, on the subject of the phlegmatic personality type, the results of problem-solving abilities are not good or sufficient and good in problem-solving. As for problem-solving, they understand the problem, design problem-solving plans, implement the problem-solving strategies and re-examine answers.
