An analysis of the Relationship Between Serious Leisure and Quality of Life of Participants in the Chinese Leisure Sport “Guan Gong Longfeng Whip”

Abstract

중국 내 관우 정신을 기반으로 하여 발생한 신생 스포츠인 관우용봉채찍이 여가활동으로 의미가 있는지 살펴보고, 이 활동에 참여하는 참여자의 진지한 여가경험이 삶의 만족에 어떻게 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 수행되었다. 자료수집은 설문지를 인터넷과 면대면을 통해 중국 34개의 성에서 관우용봉채찍에 대한 설문지 조사를 하였다. 자료분석은 빈도분석, 상관관계분석, 요인분석, 신뢰도분석과 단순회귀분석을 통해 결과를 도출하였다. 중국내 관우용봉채찍에 참여하는 참여자의 진지한 여가경험이자 건강에 대한 욕구를 충족시키는 동시에 삶에 만족에 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 있었다는 결과가 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 다음과 같은 결론을 도출하였다. 첫째, 중국내에서 신생스포츠로 발생한 관우용봉채찍 참여는 진지한 여가로서의 가치가 있다. 둘째, 관우용봉채찍에 참여하는 참여자의 경우, 진지한 여가경험이 높아질수록 삶의 만족이 높아 질 수 있기 때문에 참여자의 진지한 여가경험을 할 수 있는 여건을 마련해야 할 것이다. 셋째, 관우용봉채찍 스포츠 참여에 대한 진지한 여가 경험을 위한 여건 마련을 위해서는 지도자뿐만 아니라 관련 협회의 참여 환경조성과 관우 정신과의 연계를 강화 시킬 수 있는 노력이 필요 할 것이다.The purpose of this study is to promote the development of Chinese leisure sports Guan Gong Longfeng Whip by exploring the relationship between the current status of Chinese leisure sports Guan Gong Longfeng Whip and participation of leisure sports Guan Gong Longfeng Whip participants, serious leisure and life satisfaction. Data collection was conducted through internet and face-to-face surveys in 34 provinces of China. The analysis method used in this study derives results through frequency, correlation, reliability, factor and simple regression analysis. The results led to conclusion of following. Firstly, participating in Guan Gong Longfeng Whip as a sports, is valued as genuine leisure activity. Secondly, for participants, as the experience of the following genuine leisure activity increases, satisfaction of their life quality increases. Thus, it is essential to increase the conditions required to experience and practice Guan Gong Longfeng Whip. Thirdly, for the genuine leisure experience and the conditions required to participate, not only the leader, but also the related authorities, must have obligation to conceive the network between Guan Gong spirit and participating conditions.
