Abstract
In present days several electricallynon- conducting materials (e.g. Glass, Ceramics’, and Quartz & Composite) are mostly used in lots of application. But the sere sources are difficult to machine by existing traditional machining process like Electro Chemical Machining & Electric Discharge Machining. Because such processes are for the machining of conductive materials. Hence by making the use of electrochemical and physical phenomena machining of non-conducting materials is successfully performed by Electro Chemical Discharge Machining (ECDM). The present invention is useful to provide information of material removal rate (MRR) of aceramic namely Epoxy Plastic having high mechanical properties, temperature and chemical resistance. The ECDM machining process is prejudiced by a variety of means like practical voltage, gap between electrodes, the environment temperature, dilution of electrolyte solution and kind of electrolyte, the profile, dimensions and matter of the electrodes and the environment of the power deliver, etc. In this present work, the main idea and objective of the work is to analyze the consequences of practical voltage, dilution of electrolyte & gap between electrodes parameters in micro machining of ceramics using Electro Chemical Discharge Machining.
