Abstract

Abstract AMZIRC is an oxygen-free copper containing zirconium. AMZIRC copper was developed for applications demanding high electrical conductivity and the retention of strength at elevated temperatures. Applications include stud bases for power transmitters and rectifiers, switches and circuit breakers for high-temperature service, commutators and resistance welding tips and wheels. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as creep. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Cu-99. Producer or source: Amax Copper Inc.. Originally published April 1961, revised March 1984
