Abstract

Instrumentation is being developed to conduct atomic, molecular and optical science experiments at the Linac Coherent Light Source x-ray free electron laser at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center. This suite of instruments will be used to study the interaction of the very intense x-ray beam with the simplest forms of matter, namely atoms, molecules and clusters. The instrumentation will be ready for the start of operations of the facility in August 2009.
