Abstract

"Lived space" and society : the Normandy Bocage - In this survey the concept of "lived space" (the fréquentation and representation of space by different social classes) is used in order to attempt a new approach to the Normandy Bocage. The survey shows that the organization, fréquentation and the representations of this space correspond to a certain structurization of society and that they develop parallel with social changes following recent economic changes.
