Abstract

Characteristics of alternating conductivity in a weakly relativistic gas plasma are investigated based on the relativistic equation for the electron drift velocity, and the existence of negative conductivity, which leads to the amplification of an electromagnetic wave, in a slightly ionized, tenuous gas plasma is reported.
