Abstract

Sociology education in Germany has a two centenarian basis which was shaped especially by the educational reform of Wilhelm von Humboldt. On the other hand, today's understanding based mostly on trends like globalization and transnational integration shows itself also in the area of education and tries to standardize educational process in universities by assimilating national differences. Bologna process plays a significant role in these developments. In this article, sociology education in Germany which has been reshaped in the last then years on the basis of conflict between past and present is being analyzed in framework of current tendencies.
