Abstract

Alfonsina Storni and Fourough Farrokhzad were two outstanding poetesses who pioneered new movements, one from Argentina and the other from Iran. The women who crossed the boundaries of time, place and their cultures in order to give a reflection of other view of the women of 20th century. In this research, it is tried to investigate the common issues of the lives and works of these two poetesses as well as their spiritual ideals, demands, worries, failures and misunderstandings through analysis and comparative study. Though, we won’t try to investigate in these women’s lives very deeply, we just want to introduce the common cultural and social dimensions of both poetesses.

Alfonsina Storni and Fourough Farrokhzad were two outstanding poetesses who pioneered new movements, one from Argentina and the other from Iran. Pero en este estudio sólo se pretende realizar una investigación comparativa a través de la cual se muestren los aspectos comunes y las diferencias de las vidas y obras de estas dos poetisas sin buscar sus influencias, y así encontrar el punto de vista de ambas escritoras sobre los conceptos principales de la vida.
