Abstract

Abstract This test was conducted at the Main Station Field Laboratory at Reno on a 5 year old stand of alfalfa. Treatments were applied when nearing full bud stage with 20-30% showing tip damage. Plots were 25 × 50 ft and arranged in a randomized complete block design with 3 replicates. Precounts and treatments were made on Jun 3'77. Precounts averaged 32 larvae/sweep. Sprays were applied with a CO2 activated pressure sprayer calibrated to deliver 22.5 gpa at 32 psi. Post treatment counts were taken on Jun 6, 10, 17 and 20 and were based on 10 (180 degree) sweeps of a standard net from each rep.
