Abstract

Abstract A 5 yr old stand of alfalfa located at the Main Station Field Laboratory, Reno, NV was used for this study. Treatments were applied at near full bud stage when the alfalfa was 24 to 30 inches tall with 25-30% of the plants showing alfalfa weevil damage. Plots were 31 x 40 ft and arranged in a randomized complete block design with 3 replicates. Sprays were applied with a CO2 activated plot sprayer calibrated to deliver 17.6 gpa at 30 psi. Treatments were made on May 28, 1981. Post-treatment samples were taken on May 31, Jun 4 and 11 and consisted of 10 sweeps of a standard net from each replicate.
