Abstract AK Steel 436L Ultra Form out performs AISI Type 409 in oxidation and corrosion. This material is resistant to stress-corrosion cracking in the presence of chlorides and has excellent formability. The alloy is used in exhaust systems. This datasheet provides information on composition, hardness, and tensile properties.
