Abstract

This work shows the panorama of the cannabis agribusiness for the use of non-psychoactive derivatives, obtained by extracting the raw material of ingredients for use in the cosmetic industry, as an alternative to those of synthetic origin, constituting one of the possible Contributions for the economic reactivation of the country, after the public health emergency COVID-19 declared by the OMS on January 30, 2020, aiming to strengthen Colombia as one of the main countries in Latin America, in exporting natural ingredients for the industry cosmetics, aiming at the growth of the production chain and a legislation that includes everything from the cultivation to the use of cannabis, in a market that, according to what is projected by economic analysts, would produce for the country USD 500 million in 2032 (Colombia Productiva, 2017) and to date, it has more than 1000 licenses for the production of crops at the country. Thus, one of the great challenges is the standardization of vegetable crops, improving resistance, tolerance to pests and diseases, using Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), contributing to sustainable production systems, strengthening research and establishing regulations. that allows the use of by-products and development of labor competencies.
