Advances in research on animal models of Parkinson’s disease

Abstract

Parkinson's disease(PD) is a common chronic neurodegenerative disease of old people,the mechanism of which remains unclear,and there is no effective drug to completely cure or reverse the disease.It is very important to establish animal models for studying the pathogenesis of Parkinson's disease and developing more effective drugs.Common animal models of Parkinson's disease,such as the neurotoxin model,the transgene model and the gene knock-out model,are reviewed in this paper.
