Abstract

Abstract The information needs of research scientists, subject specialists, and practicing foresters are complex and can best be met by integrated information service networks such as PACFORNET. PACFORNET is confined to the Pacific Coast, but computerized information retrieval can be obtained nationwide. Computer-based bibliographic systems are particularly valuable to scientists and subject specialists. Announcement services for applied literature are of particular value to nonresearch foresters. Both services require good document delivery from university and government libraries.
