Abstract
During the last few years, a number of high performance ingot casting systems have been installed. INTECO’s Advanced Teeming System ATS is designed for casting rolling and forging ingots of typically up to 10 tons. The ATS is an outstanding concept regarding improved productivity, quality, and workplace safety. This paper gives an overview about the ATS itself, related developments, design considerations, and operational experience.
