Abstract
In Turkey, recording and expunging criminal records authority is General Directorate of Criminal Records and Statistics working under Ministry of Justice. After occurring conditions of expunging, this criminal record should not be considered negatively against suspect in criminal procedure by law practitioners. For this reasons, expunging conditions have to be known ideally by judges, prosecutors and lawyers.This article works on up to date rules of recording and expunging conditions of criminal records, executive body’s automatic expunging obligation when conditions occur, suggestion for using IT Technologies (software systems) in order to meet this obligation, effects of restitution of divested rights judgments on expunging criminal archive records and emphasizing lack of juvenile criminal records regime in Criminal Records Act
