Abstract

Samples of a solution of 134Cs have been distributed to participants in 24 national and international laboratories who measured the activity concentration, mostly by 4πβ-γ coincidence techniques. The solution distributed, the preparation of the sources, and the equipment used are briefly described. Some remarks regarding coincidence counting and efficiency extrapolation are added. The 35 results submitted are presented in a table and in a graph. Their mean value, and its standard deviation, on the reference date are (830.0 ± 1.4) Bq mg −1.
