Abstract
Abstract This presentation will cover findings from a project in the tobacco retail environment of the Tobacco Center for Regulatory Sciences in Vulnerable Populations at USC. Qualitative and survey research was conducted among over 700 retailers and in retail outlets that sell tobacco products in vulnerable ethnic communities, including among American Indian tribal lands, in African American, Hispanic/Latino, Korean, and low-SES non-Hispanic White neighborhoods. Findings show violations to tobacco rulings as well as identify potential areas of concern and viable targeted and culturally tailored solutions to reducing exposure to environmental influences that foster and encourage the use of tobacco products in vulnerable communities.
