Tobacco product use is the leading cause of preventable disease, disability, and death in the United States [1]
Current use of a tobacco product was reported by 31.2% of high school students (4.7 million) and 12.5% of middle school students (1.5 million)

In 2019, 40.5% of U.S middle and high school students (10.9 million) reported having ever tried a tobacco product (Table 1).
