Abstract

The theory of elites which has appeared at the beginning of the twentieth century has the further development during the subsequent period. There are different types of elites depending on certain criteria: social elite, intellectual, professional, political, military, religious, etc. The concept «pedagogical elite» didn’t find a worthy explanation in scientific pedagogical literature and it needs careful additional and disperse research. This purpose gains special relevance in the sphere of professional education as functions of reproduction of the qualified manpower are assigned to this step of education. Purpose: removal of the concept «pedagogical elite» of the sphere of professional education. Methodology: empirical research (supervision, comparison, measurement, experiment). Results: the question of a concept «elite» origin is studied, the comparative assessment of various theories is given, wor-king definition of the concept «pedagogical elite» is removed, the circle of professional qualities of representatives of pedagogical elite is defined. Practical implications: professional pedagogical activity, professional development of pedagogical shots, training of specialists of the average and highest pedagogical it is educated.
