Abstract
The process of self-acceleration of ultrarelativistic electrons caused by the adsorbtion of bremsstrahlung photons in the field of the target atoms is investigated. It is shown that in a single crystal the probability of self-acceleration can be much greater than in an amorphous medium, at high energies. Precise calculations of the self-acceleration probability in a single crystal are carried out. The results obtained are compared with the ones for an amorphous medium.
