Abstract
This paper discusses the role of international cooperation and aid in supporting sustainable development initiatives in Timor-Leste, focusing on the involvement of non-governmental organizations and governmental organizations. It explores the impact of international support in addressing challenges related to environmental conservation, healthcare, education, poverty alleviation, and capacity building. The limitations of external aid and future recommendations for promoting self-sufficiency and local capacity building are also highlighted.
