Abstract
As the Indian IT organizations are growing in all perspectives and are going international, it has to confront many challenges within and outside their environment. In addition to the technological growth and innovation, there is also an increasing need to be focused more on the welfare of their employees. The IT organisations are expected to come out with better policies and procedures that augment welfare of its professionals’. This study has analyzed the stress management policies and implementation by software organisations and has examined the effective coping strategies adopted by the software professionals to battle up with their work stress and has also analysed the demographic and job related variables and level of adoption of stress coping strategies.
