Abstract

In India, the incidence of dengue fever (DF) and dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) have risen dramatically in the last two decades. In Rajasthan dengue cases are tremendously increasing year after year. In our study on the basis of climatic conditions some arid (Jaisalmer, Barmer, Bikaner) and semi-arid (Jodhpur, Ganganagar, Hanumangarh) region districts of Region districts of rajasthan were selected. Retrospective data of the past 5 years from 2015 to 2019 were collected. Data collection was done with the help of various Chief Medical and Health Office of the concern district and also with the help of National vector borne disease control programme (NVBDCP). In this study, we obtained total 5142 dengue cases from selected arid and semi-arid regions of Rajasthan. Maximum dengue cases were found in Jaisalmer and Jodhpur in arid and semi-arid region, respectively. Minimum dengue incidence was analysed in Bikaner and Hanumangarh in arid and semi-arid regions, respectively.
