Abstract

The γ-decays from levels in 127I populated in the (n, n'γ) reaction have been studied with a Ge(Li) detector. Gamma-gamma coincidence spectra were obtained using a Ge(Li) detector together with a NaI(Tl) detector which served both as the scattering sample and a γ-ray detector. The spectra were taken at a series of neutron energies from 0.5 to 1.6 MeV, during which successively higher energy levels were populated. Twenty-one levels up to 1444 keV were excited, and their energies and γ-decays were measured.
