Abstract
The United States of America is thought to be a country held by shared political principles of freedom, equality, and tolerance with a pluralistic immigrant culture by many scholars. The citizenship education in the US is far more than complex than we expect. In this review, I examine published articles related to citizenship education in the US. Through the review, I shed light on the complexity and features of the citizenship education in the United States in different periods of time.
