Abstract
The medical and health systems were undergoing major reforms in China.The numbers of hospital and community-based pharmacies were growing rapidly but the numbers of qualified clinical pharmacy professionals were in short supply.Currently,a great part of the pharmacy higher education in China was training students to work in the pharmaceutical manufacturing enterprises.There wag a big gap between pharmacy education objectives and the actual demands.The development of clinical pharmacy education in the United States started early,and the requirements for licensed pharmacist were well defined.Clinical pharmacy education in the United States trained students to be future pharmacist.This article briefly introduced the pharmacy education in the United States,which would provide useful information for training our future pharmacist.
