Abstract

In this paper the application of the concepts of failure detection, fault diagnosis and dynamic reconfiguration to real time aircraft flight control systems is reviewed in detail. Some new results concerning the sensitivity and insensitivity of observers and a new approach to reconfiguration of control laws are also presented.
