Abstract
The note aims at making an appraisal of Je an- Luc M arion' s position on love as the first name of God, by insisting on thefact that being is necessarily the light, at least implicitly, of ail human knowledge. The notion oflove is itself enlightened by the one of being. God is before anything else : Esse per se Subsistens, and so one can explicit the idea of God as Love.
