Abstract
O trabalho tece considerações sobre o enfoque da personagem pelo autor no romance de Dostoiévski a partir da obra Problemas da poética de Dostoiévski de Bakhtin, estabelecendo uma analogia entre a relação autor/herói na obra de Dostoiévski e a relação autor/herói no romance Grande sertão: veredas, de Guimarães Rosa. Segundo Bakhtin, Dostoiévski inaugura o romance polifônico, dialógico, apresentando um herói cuja voz está equiparada à voz do autor. É nesse mesmo contexto que se analisa, no romance rosiano, o narrador Riobaldo.

This work makes considerations about the focus of the character by the author on Dostoevsky romance from the work Problems of Dostoevsky‟s Poetics of Bakhtin, establishing an analogy between author/hero in Dostoevsky work and the relationship author/hero in the romance Grande sertão: veredas from Guimarães Rosa. Segundo Bakhtin, vai além dos procedimentos composicionais de remoção ou desgaste da palavra do autor, pois esses procedimentos ocorrem também em outros autores, como Tolstoi, por exemplo, mas só em Dostoiévski esses procedimentos resultam na polifonia, uma vez que a personagem não é vista como ela é, mas como ela toma consciência de si.
