Abstract
An increasing number of test methods have been proposed in recent years for testing multi-agent systems (MAS). Each method covers particular testing criteria in agent-oriented software engineering (AOSE). In order to achieve a sufficient test process, several different methods need to be combined. In addition, the test process must be integrated into the MAS lifecycle to succeed. Therefore, five dynamic test levels are proposed in this paper to describe the testing activities in the MAS lifecycle. This paper extends and modifies the test process that proposed by the International software testing qualification board (ISTQB), to address the properties of a comprehensive test process in AOSE. The proposed process is divided by introducing four subprocesses that contain specific activities, metrics and tangible input and also output artifacts. The preferred agent-oriented test methods are employed in the proposed process.
