Abstract
Date of Find Location Weight August, 1966 SE ? SE' Sec. 8, T 21 S, R 3 W 16 pounds The new meteorite is called INMAN and it is classified as an olivine hypersthene chondrite. No other meteorites of this type have been found near this new location, although an olivine bronzite chrondrite (HAVEN) was found in adjacent Reno County in 1952 (Mason, 1962). The Meteorite will be jointly studied by NASA and KSU personnel. Petrographic, chemical, and geochronological investigations are planned and will be reported at a later date.
