Abstract

Theater is a synthetic art. It creates performances full of mysteries, combining several arts. Although only actors appear before the public, it is no secret that hundreds of people are behind this. One of these performances is production of «Kyz Zhibek» at the K. Kuanyshbayev State Academic Kazakh Music and Drama Theater. Libretto by G. Musrepov, written based on the folklore source of the Kazakh people, staged by S. Kamiev.He tries to reveal the uniqueness of the work, which has become a masterpiece of Kazakh classics, finding modern directorial solutions and exploring the epic through the roles of actors. The features of each performer of the role are analyzed and identified. The value of the article is enhanced by the fact that the images created by the actors are analyzed taking into account the tastes of modern youth. At the same time, taking into account the tastes and needs of today’s public, the importance of musical and plastic solutions in the modern interpretation of classical works has not goneunnoticed by the authors.Th e historical and scientific value of the article is increased by the analysis of the first production of the libretto «Kyz Zhibek» with examples of director's decisions and the merits of acting.With the help of scientific analysis, the authors determined the place of the musical performance «Kyz Zhibek», staged specifically for the integration of songs and dances, in the theatrical repertoire. Researchers have also differentiated trends in the development of metropolitan art. Special attention of researchers is devoted to the issues of continuity between the young generation of actors and leading actors. The article uses an analytical approach that identifies modern trends in the development of Kazakhstani acting skills. The authors analyzed the performance taking into account S. Kamiev’s experience in staging musical performances. Considering other stage versions of the work, the researchers emphasize the originality of the performance of the K. Kuanyshbaev theater.
