McQuitty is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology and the Institute of Labor and Industrial Relations at the University of Illinois. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Toronto in 1937. He has served as a clinical psychologist in Toronto, a clinical counselor at the Universities of Illinois and Florida, and an industrial psychologist with Stevenson and Kellogg, Toronto. During the war he served in clinical, classification, administrative, command, and educational assignments.
