Abstract
The program given here is a modified form of the existing frontal solver which is being widely used for solution of symmetric equation systems. The modification is necessary for problems of interaction of superstructures with soil-foundation systems, wherein each component of the system is discretized into different elements having different degrees of freedom. The annotated frontal solver program is presented in the form of an Appendix. The solver is useful both for two- and three-dimensional analyses.
